 What is a Wellness Champion?

A Wellness Champion is an individual who volunteers to be a leader in health and wellness and one who participates in the Statewide Wellness Coalition. The State Wellness Director (Twany Beckham) leads this Coalition. Wellness Champions are to attend monthly wellness meeting, either in person or via conference call for thirty minutes. Champions are to provide communication to coworkers about wellness issues as well as coordinate wellness events at their work place. Champions are knowledgeable on KEHP’s wellness benefits and are willing to communicate these benefits with others.
